This young man started his TSD training in 2016 with his mom. They were among the first students at Raven TSD. In January, 2020, his soon-to-be step-dad joined Raven TSD, right before the COVID-19 pandemic hit in full force. Their dedication to our art was unwavering, despite the shutdowns, classes on Zoom, and training with masks and social distance. In October, 2020, this young man tested for first degree black belt via Zoom due to the pandemic. Then, in April, 2023, step-son and step-dad successfully tested together for second-degree and first degree black belts, respectively. #perseverance
 Master Finger attended the WTSDA National Championship in Chicago, IL (Region 5) where he served as Security for the Head Table. Approximately 1000 WTSDA practitioners attended the event!
A special welcome to Reese Jurman, Cho Dan Bo, from Coastal Canyon Tang Soo Do in San Diego, CA, (Region 20) who visited our class today on her way to compete in the WTSDA National Championships in Chicago, IL!  This young person started their Tang Soo Do training in 2018, at the tender age of six, joining their mother who had already been training for about a year. Five years later, they both tested for black belt together, them for first degree and their mom for second degree. Now they both are giving back to Raven TSD as instructor trainee and instructor, respectively.
